Happy Fourth, y'all!

Happy 4th! Today is one of those days I wish I could be home. The hardest part is always being away on the holidays. I missed Thanksgiving last year while I was student-teaching in Philadelphia. I've learned that family is important to me and that I don't like being away from the people I love for extended periods of time.  My Wednesday is completely free. I am singing in the Fourth of July Concert: A Celebration of American Composers. I'm singing "Where the Music Comes From" (Lee Hoiby) , "Forever Young" (John Corigliano), and "The Serpent" (Hoiby). My portion is about 15 minutes long.  Happy Fourth! I'll be posting again tomorrow.v:)
